PACT gets new boss

KATHMANDU:

The Ministry of Agricultural Development (MoAD) appointed Indrakanta Jha Director at its Project for Agriculture Commercialisation and Trade (PACT).

PACT is a World Bank-funded project run by the Ministry since 2009.

Assuming his office on Monday, Jha said he will work to enhance the project as a global model.

The project can be made more successful out of an enhanced team spirit, the new boss at PACT said at an introduction with project staff.

He also expressed a commitment to adopt zero tolerance against corruption and maintain maximum transparency in the project .

Jha is a Joint-Secretary of the Ministry.

Jha was appointed to the position after the incumbent PACT Director Yogendra Kumar Karki was transferred to Planning Division of the Ministry around two and half months ago.

Speaking at a function organised to welcome Jha, Karki thanked all for cooperation during his tenure.
