Over 10.7 Million PR Votes Counted in HoR Elections; RSP Leads Tally

The Election Commission Nepal has reported that more than 10.7 million votes have been counted so far under the proportional representation (PR) category of the House of Representatives elections.

According to the latest update released at 3:30 am, a total of 10,720,567 votes have been tallied nationwide.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is currently leading the PR vote count with over 5.1 million votes, securing a significant margin over other political parties.

Trailing behind in second place is the Nepali Congress, which has received more than 1.7 million votes, while the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) stands in third position with over 1.4 million votes.

The Nepal Communist Party is currently in fourth place with more than 800,000 votes. It is followed by the Shram Sanskriti Party, which has secured around 378,000 votes.

Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has collected 329,197 votes in the proportional category so far.

The Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal has garnered 174,305 votes, while the Rastriya Paribartan Party has received 171,444 votes. Meanwhile, the Janamat Party has secured 78,927 votes, according to the Election Commission.

Officials from the Election Commission said the vote counting process is still ongoing, and updated figures will continue to be released as more ballots are verified and tabulated. The proportional representation system allocates seats to political parties based on the share of votes they receive nationwide.
