NRB publishes monthly statistics: 78 Bank and Financial Institutions with 5,257 branches all over the country
The monthly statistics published by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) show that as of Bhadra end, 2076 there are 28 Commercial Banks, 28 Development Banks and 22 Finance Companies making a total of 78 Bank and Financial Institutions (BFIs) with 5,257 branches all over the country.
Similarly, as of the last quarter of FY 2075/76, the number of deposit accounts and loan accounts has reached 2.78 crores and 14.39 lakh. The table below shows the statistics of financial access:
