The board meeting of Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has recommend the government to take action against NOC Managing Director Gopal Khadka. The meeting held on Friday recommended the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies (MoCS) to take needful action against Khadka, stating that Khadka's response to clarification sought by the board was not satisfactory. The board had sought clarification from Khadka last week for his alleged involvement in irregularities in distribution of petroleum products. “The board cannot take action against Khada as his appointment at NOC is of political nature,” a board member told Republica, adding, “As he was appointed by the cabinet, it would be appropriate to take action against him by the cabinet." Khadka has also been accused to awarding petroleum supply contracts to private companies unlawfully. Source: Republica
