Niraj Sharma Appointed as CEO of eSewa Limited

Niraj Sharma has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal's leading payment service provider company, eSewa Limited for a four-year term.

The meeting of the eSewa Board of Directors held on Bhadra 30 decided to appoint Sharma as the Chief Executive Officer for the next four years, effective from Monday. . He has assumed office effective Monday.

Sharma has over 25 years of leadership experience in the banking and financial sector, with expertise in transaction banking, card systems, digital transformation and retail banking. He has also worked in digital innovation, strategic growth and customer-focused product development.

Meanwhile, the four-year term of eSewa's former Chief Executive Officer, Jagdish Khadka, has been completed. Khadka, who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer on Ashwin 12, 2079 BS, has successfully completed his term. Under his managerial leadership, the company significantly expanded its services, reach, and the scope of digital financial services.
