NIMB Introduces Nepal’s First Instant EMI via POS, Enhancing Smart and Flexible Payments

Nepal Investment Mega Bank Ltd. (NIMB) has become the first bank in Nepal to introduce an 'Instant EMI' (Equated Monthly Installment) feature through its POS Machines. With this new facility, NIMB credit card users can instantly convert their payments into monthly installments at any merchant using the NIMB POS Machine, without the need for a separate application or waiting period.

This innovation is aimed at enhancing financial flexibility for customers, especially when purchasing household goods, electronics, gadgets, and travel services. The bank believes this move will strengthen trust in digital banking by making large payments more manageable. Currently, NIMB operates with 275 branches, 265 ATMs, 65 extension counters, and 60 branchless banking points across Nepal.
