Night Traffic Halt on Muglin–Malekhu Stretch for Three Days
Vehicular movement along the Muglin–Malekhu section of the Prithvi Highway will remain suspended during nighttime for the next three days to facilitate ongoing road upgrade works.
According to a notice issued by the District Administration Office on Thursday, traffic on this key highway stretch will be halted daily from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am, starting April 3. The restriction will be in place for three consecutive days.
Assistant Chief District Officer Chiranjivi Sharma stated that the temporary closure is necessary to expedite road improvement works currently underway at Ghoptebhir and other areas within Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality–4.
During the six-hour closure period, movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted, except for essential services such as ambulances and fire engines, ensuring that emergency needs are not affected.
Authorities have requested travelers and transport operators to plan their journeys accordingly and cooperate with officials during the restriction period, aimed at ensuring safety and timely completion of the road project.
