New SEBON Chairman Fails to Spark Rally as NEPSE Dips Slightly to 2,700.65

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a single digit fall today, falling by only 1.46 points (0.05%) to settle at 2,700.65. This comes after a small fall of 5.06 points in the friday's trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,709.3 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,709.29 and a low of 2,709.29 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.44 Arba, with 8,138,433 shares traded across 353 companies through 90,862 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.61 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.51 Kharba.

Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited (SOPL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 37.44 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,120.00.

Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited (TPKHL) and Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YMHL) Led the gainer's list with 15.00% positive circuits. The both stock Closed at Rs. 345.00.

Meanwhile, 8.5% Nepal Bank Debenture 2087 (NBLD87) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 3.87%, the last traded price of the company was Rs.1,100.00.

Among sectors, Finance Index registered the highest gain by 1.01%, while Mutual Fund recorded highest fall, falling by 0.68%.
