New NRB Governor Nepal assumes office

The newly appointed governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Dr Chiranjibi Nepal has assumed his office from today. He took charge of the NRB from today afternoon.

All the officials of Nepal Rastra bank welcomed the newly appointed governor . After the new governor took the oath of office, capital market responded negatively, dropping by slightly more than 3 points.

It is a well known fact that NRB’s policy affects the capital market as well. Uncertainty surrounding the kind of policies the new governor might adopt might have caused the Nepal stock exchange to slide.
