NEPSE up by 6.64 points to end above 940 level

NEPSE Index surged by 6.64 points or 0.71 percent to close at 945.74 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float also gained 1.22 points and 0.57 point to settle at 200.97 and 66.61 levels respectively.

Opening at 939.21 level this afternoon the local bourse started gaining points after the initial trading hour and ended with gain of 6.64 points.

Among the sub-indices, Banking stepped up by 5.97 points to close at 824.27 level.

Similarly Development (801.94) and Finance (533.60) surged by 11.21 points and 0.44 point respectively.

HydroPower (2183.35) and Insurance (4037.92) went up by 28.49 and 14.33 points respectively.

Hotels gained 41.5 points to close at 2043.41 level whereas Others managed to remain at 704.91 level.

Altogether 541,868 unit shares of 127 companies were traded through 1,253 transactions worth Rs 166.38 million.

NLIC, SHL and CHCL were traded maximum today.

OHL, DDBL, SUBL and HAMA were among the top gainers of the day whereas OFL, KRBL, SADBL and SETI were the top losers of the day.
