NEPSE up by 5.79 points on last trading day of week

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) stepped up by 5.79 points or 0.61 percent to close at 949.92 level.
Similarly Sensitive and Float also surged by 1.45 and 0.38 points to close at 203.01 and 66.89 levels respectively.
Opening at 944.13 level this afternoon the local bourse remained at that point till the second trading hour and thereafter surged up to 949.92 level till end.
Banking gained 8.99 points to close at 836.59 level. Similarly Insurance (3928.31) and Others (722.53) went up by 6.92 and 8.23 points respectively.
Development (793.62) and Finance (532.18) plunged by 1.45 and 0.02 points respectively.
Hotels (1966.30) and HydroPower (2181.77) slipped by 14.27 and 9.18 points respectively.
Manufacturing dipped by 1.24 points to close at 1502.88 level.
SCB, NLIC, GBIME, CBL and CHCL were traded maximum today.
KBL, FMDBL, SFFIL and CDBL were top gainers of the day whereas SDBL, WDBL, AHOC and RMDC were among the top losers of the day.
Altogether 461,710 unit shares of 119 companies were traded through 1,464 transactions worth Rs 197.62 million.
