NEPSE up by 2.48 points; closes at 973.95 level

The Benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has surged by 2.48 points or 0.26 percent to close at 973.95 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also gained 0.71 point and 0.15 point respectively.

Opening at the level of 971.44 this afternoon, the local bourse dipped more than 7 points to touch the intraday low of 963.25 level within the initial hour.

However increase in the buyer investors seeing the lower price of scrips there after led the NEPSE index recover its loss and close with gain of 2.48 points.

Among the sun-indices, Banking gained meager 1.41 point or 0.17 percent to close at 847.86 level.


Similarly Development (814.15) and Insurance (4,282.29) increased by 3.71 points and 10.4 points respectively.

HydroPower (2,230.85), Manufacturing (1,449.96) and Others (743.67) jumped by 29.34 points, 8.82 points and 1.17 points respectively.

However Hotels (2015.42) and Finance plunged by 6.98 points and 2.29 points respectively.

Shares of Prabhu Bank and Everest Bank were traded maximum today.

Shares of Ariniko Development, Karnali Development and SUPREME surged maximum today.

Altogether 673,398 unit shares of 138 companies were traded through 2,190 transactions worth Rs 252.34 million.
