NEPSE to Remain Closed Today for Janai Purnima Holiday

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) will remain closed today (Friday) August 28, 2026, on the occasion of Janai Purnima, as the government has announced a public holiday.
With the holiday falling on Friday, there will be no trading activity on the stock market. NEPSE will resume regular trading on Monday, August 31, 2026.
Janai Purnima, also known as Raksha Bandhan, is a Hindu festival where sacred threads (janai) are renewed, symbolizing protection.
