NEPSE surges 8.19 points on last trading day of this week; Trading of EBL amounts more than Rs 37 crore

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) gained 8.19 points or 0.7 percent to close at 1183.76 level on the last closing day of this week.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 82.46 crore where the shares of only EBL were traded amounting Rs 37 crore where 2.4 lakh unit shares of this company were traded.
Besides EBL, shares of commercial banks like PRVU, CZBIL, LBL and NBB and Insurance companies like NLICL and LICN were mostly traded.
Altogether more than 10 lakh unit shares of 139 companies were traded today worth Rs 82.46 crore.
Hotels, Banking, Finance and Others were among the sub-indices to land in red today.
Share price of YETI, GLICL, NIL, SLICL, TNBL, PLIC, ALICL. UNL and KRBL surged maximum today.
However IDBL, UIC, OHL, SBI and KMCDB were among the top losers of the day.
Among the sub-indices, Insurance and Manufacturing gained in triple digit of 231.46 and 111.2 points respectively.
