NEPSE stands at 1163.47 points after today’s double digit gain; two companies change by 14 points each to hit the circuit

The market today was in the green zone for the whole day gaining double digits. The benchmark index gained 13.72 points or 1.19% and closed at 1163.47 points. The turnover today was worth Rs.50.08 Crore which was achieved from trade of 1,893,120 units of shares traded through 7,824 transactions trading scrips of 169 listed companies in the process.

Today’s trade was dominated by Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank (NCCB). A total of 184,441 units of shares were traded today, posting a turnover of Rs.4 Crore, leading both the lists. The LTP of the bank stands at Rs.218 per share.

Bhargava Bikas Bank (BHBL) hit the positive circuit today as it gained 9.40% or 14 points and closed at Rs.163 per share. Universal Power Company (UPCL) lost 14 points or 9.58% to hit the negative circuit and be today’s top gainer. The LTP of the hydropower company stands at Rs.132 per share.

Sensitive Index gained 3.34 points and closed at 248.15 points while Float Index gained 1.09 points and closed at 84.97 points.

Hydropower and Non-Life Insurance sectors were the only losing sub-indices today as they lost 0.30% and 0.13% respectively. Rest of the sub-indices gained points to close in the green zone. Commercial Banks gained the most today at 1.97%.
