NEPSE slips meager 4.34 points; PRVU remains among the top traded shares

NEPSE index slipped down by 4.34 points or 0.44 percent to close at 984.43 level.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also moved down by 0.67 and 0.36 points respectively.

Opening at 988.77 level this afternoon, the benchmark index plunged to 984 level till the mid-trading hours and there after remained around this level throughout the day.

Among the sub-indices, Banking stepped down 4.54 points or 0.53 percent to close at 857.16 level.

Similarly Development (829.14) and Finance (542.7) dropped by 0.82 point and 1.23 points respectively.

HydroPower (2259.35), Hotels (2036.92) and Insurance (4306.84) dipped by double digits of 19.09 points, 20.12 points and 35.94 points respectively.

Manufacturing managed to remain at 1441.18 level whereas Others was the only sector to land in green today recording surge of 3.52 points or 0.47 percent to close at 751.89 level.


All together 714,397 unit shares of 144 companies were traded today through 1,740 transactions worth Rs 239.66 million including Rs 2.99 million of manual turnover.

Shares of Prabhu Bank remained the maximum traded shares today.

Shares Price of National Life Insurance, Premier Insurance, Mount Makalu Development and Nepal Awas Finance surged almost 10 percent today.

Whereas companies like Apex Development, Kasthamandap Development, Summit MicroFinance and Agricultural Development Bank were among the top losers of the day.
