NEPSE Slips Below 2,652 Level as Market Continues Downward Trend

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit fall today, falling by 8.50 points (0.31%) to settle at 2,651.52. This comes after a fall of 14.45 points in the yesterday trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2656.3 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,663.47 and a low of 2,643.59 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 2.83 Arba, with 6,480,599 shares traded across 338 companies through 46,751 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.38 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.29 Kharba.


Sopan Pharmaceuticals Limited (SOPL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 12.77 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 966.10.


Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited (TPKHL) and Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YMHL) Led the gainer's list with 15.00% positive circuits. The both stock Closed at Rs. 524.60.


Meanwhile, Bhujung Hydropower Limited (BJHL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 11.03%, the last traded price of the company was Rs.839.00.

 

Among sectors, Manufacturing And Processing registered the highest gain by 0.14%, while Trading Index recorded highest fall, falling by 1.96%.
