NEPSE Slides 43.89 Points as Non-Life Insurance Index Saw Sharpest Decline Among Other Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss today, losing by 43.89 points (1.71%) to close at 2,513.45. This follows a 1.04 -point loss in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,555.07 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,556.96 and a low of 2,508.49 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.64 Arba, with 9,322,185 shares traded across 347 companies through 68,137 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.23 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.56 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 26.38 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 664.00.

Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) hit the upper circuit with a 13.16% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 2,725.00 .

Meanwhile, Mailung Khola Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (MKJC) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 14.98%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 276.30 .

Among sectors, Manufacturing And Processing recorded the highest gain, gaining by 0.70%, while the Non Life Insurance recorded the highest loss, down 5.03%.
