NEPSE settles at 975.67 level; turnover crawls Rs 200 million

NEPSE index slipped slight 3.6 points or 0.37 percent to close at 975.67 level.

Similarly Sensitive and Float also plunged 0.65 point and 0.23 point to settle at 206.83 and 67.91 levels respectively.

Opening at 979.27 level this afternoon, the local bourse faced downward throughout the day recording the intraday low of 974.01 level.

Altogether 562,014 unit shares of 142 companies were traded through 1,607 transactions worth Rs 202.75 million.

Banking went down by 2.02 points to close at 846.34 level.


Development (820.18) dropped by meager 0.08 point whereas Finance (534.50) and Insurance (4330.53) Surged 0.29 and 11.8 points respectively.

HydroPower (2217.08) and Hotels (2077.40) plunged by 22.81 and 25.84 points respectively.

Manufacturing (1439.79) and Others (746.02) dropped by 2.33 and 14.09 points respectively.

Shares of Companies like Shikhar Insurance, Multipurpose Finance and Siddhartha Development Bank were among the top gainers of the day.

Shares of Prabhu Bank were traded maximum today worth Rs 32.76 million (LTP 350.00)
