NEPSE rests above 940 level; turnover beyond Rs 200 million

The local bourse surged up by 6.62 points or 0.71 percent to close at 942.15 level.
Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float gained 1.92 and 0.41 points to close at 200.89 and 66.32 level respectively.
The remaining 2 days of general strike taken back by the 30-party alliance has raise the chances of the major political parties to come on the common floor has led the boost in confidence level among the investors in the country.
Altogether 505,397 unit shares of 133 companies were traded through 1,311 transactions worth Rs 216.94 million.
Insurance was the only sector to land in red today amounting plunge of 27.84 points to close at 3945.64 level.
Banking gained 7.36 points or 0.9 percent to close at 826.44 level.
Similarly Development (792.49) and Finance (531.21) surged by 6.06 and 0.15 points respectively.
Trading (204.27) and Hotels (1991.09) gained 3.46 and 25.92 points respectively.
HydroPower (2175.19) and Manufacturing (1494.78) went up by 17.79 and 18.27 points respectively.
Others gained 10.57 points to close at 704.91 level.
NLICL. PRVU and GBIME were among the most traded shares.
GABB, NNLB, CSDBL and YETI were among the top gainers of the day whereas NIL, NBSL, SEWA and AIC were the top losers.
