NEPSE remains above 970 level; slips meager 0.15 point

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) slide meager 0.15 point or 0.02 percent to close at 970.62 level.

The local bourse remained along the corridor of 4 points throughout the day between 967 and 971 levels.

Among the sub-indices, Banking and Finance plunged by 0.21 and 0.11 points to close at 845.04 and 532.67 levels respectively.

Hotels and Development surged by 7.85 points and 2.48 points respectively.

However HydroPower and Others slipped down by 11.99 and 2.35 points respectively.

Whereas Insurance and Manufacturing gained 4.84 and 5.19 points respectively.


Total turnover however stood at Rs 177.06 million where 463,217 unit shares of 136 scrips were traded through 1,894 transactions.

Shares of Chilime Hydro and Prabhu Bank were traded maximum today.

Shares like CFCL, PADBL, REDBL and CSDBL were among the top gainers of the day.
