NEPSE reaches above 980 level; steps up 9.18 points

NEPSE index surged by 9.18 points or 0.94 percent to close at 984.85 level.

Sensitive and Float has also moved up by 1.98 and 0.76 points respectively.

Unlike yesterday, the local bourse faced upward throughout the day after opening at 975.68 mark index.

Banking moved up by double digit of 10 points or 1.18 percent to stand at 856.34 level.

Similarly Development and Finance also gained 9.2 points and 1.42 points to close at 829.38 and 535.92 levels respectively.

Trading (195.70) and Hotels (2111.22) went up by 4.62 points and 33.82 points respectively.

HydroPower and Insurance gained 25.88 points and 30.92 points to rest at 2242.96 and 4361.45 levels respectively.

Manufacturing surged by 8.84 points to settle at 1448.63 whereas Others plunged by 1.18 points to stand at 744.84 levels.

The total turnover stood at Rs 236.61 million where 778,239 unit shares of 139 companies were traded through 1,684 transactions.

Shares of companies like Machhapuchhere Bank and Nabil Bank were traded maximum today.

Top gainers of the day included KDBL. MPFL, SHBL and NNLB whereas companies like CSDBL, KNBL, RMDC and JFL were in the list of top losers.
