NEPSE opens for the new fiscal year with double digit gain of 15.85 points; Nepal Bank Limited continues to dominate trade

On the first day of fiscal year 76/77, the market gained double digits of 15.85 points or 1.26%. The benchmark index closed at a high of 1274.86 points. The turnover stood at Rs.42.67 Crore achieved from trade of 1,375,190 units of shares traded through 5,387 transactions trading scrips of 167 listed companies in the process.
Nepal Bank Limited (NBL) continues to dominate trade. The commercial bank posted a turnover of Rs.4.75 Crore achieved form trade of 138,862 units of shares. The LTP stands at Rs.345 per share.
Unnati Microfinance (UMB) was today’s top gainer as it gained 7% or 56 points and closed at Rs.856 per share. Civil Laghubitta (CLBSL) was today’s top loser after it lost 9% or 50 points and closed at Rs.505 per share.
Sensitive Index gained 2.86 points and closed at 274.11 points while Float Index gained 1.34 points and closed at 93.76 points.
Only Hotels and Finance sectors were among losing sub-indices while rest of the sub-indices ended in the green zone after gaining points.
