NEPSE Loses By Double Digit on The First Trading Day of This Week; Only One Sector Closes at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double-digit loss, losing 16.47 points (0.62%) to close at 2,613.33. This follows a 11.77 -point gain in the previous trading session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,633 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,638.28 and a low of 2,605.31 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.38 Arba, with 13,178,128 shares traded across 357 companies through 58,500 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.95 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.22 Kharba.
SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 35.81 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 702.00 .
10% KBL Debenture 2090 (KBLD90) led the gainer's list with a 12.17% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 1,460.00.
Meanwhile, Hathway Investment Nepal Limited (HATHY) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 10.58%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 405.00.
Among sectors, the Trading Index recorded the highest loss, losing by 0.23%, while Non Life Insurance recorded the least loss, down 1.20%.
