NEPSE Loses 16.6 points to close at 1391.29; Total turnover Rs. 97.62 crores while all sectors close in red

The stock market lost 16.60 points (1.18%) today, closing at 1,391.29. NEPSE lost more than 20 points in less than 20 minutes after market-open.

A total of 2,474,329 shares traded amounting to Rs. 976,235,059 in turnover amount. 185 scrips were traded via 16,875 transactions.

Overall 21.73 points volatility was witnessed today, with the highest level being 1409.44 and the lowest being 1387.71.

Like yesterday, Citizen Investment Trust also had the highest turnover today. It closed at Rs. 2,878 per share with a total turnover of Rs. 8.09 crores. Meanwhile, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited had the highest number of shares traded for the day.

Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) gained the most and hit a 10% positive circuit today. No other stock gained as close to it, with the second-highest gainer Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Limited (PMHPL) gaining only 5.13%.

Meanwhile, Prudential Insurance Company Limited (PICL) lost the most 3.8%.

Float is at 97.31 after losing 1.26 points while the Sensitive index lost 2.71 points to close at 287.07.

All sectors lost today, with the Non-life insurance sector losing the most 1.66%.
