NEPSE lands in green on last trading day of week

NEPSE Index jumped 8.65 points or 0.89 percent to close at 979.27 level on the last trading day of this week.

Similarly NEPSE Sensitive and Float also went up by 1.63 point and 0.51 point to stand at 207.48 and 68.14 levels respectively.

The local bourse remained around 971 level till the 2nd trading hour and thereafter surged more than 8 points to close above 979 level.

Among the sub-indices, Banking gained 3.32 points or 0.39 percent to end at 848.36 level.


Development (820.26) and Finance (534.21) surged by 9.2 points and 1.54 point respectively.

HydroPower (2239.89) and Insurance (4318.73) moved up by 20.03 points and 46.63 points respectively.

Others (760.11) and Hotels (2103.24) surged by 22.31 points and 71.65 points respectively.

Whereas Manufacturing was the only sector to land in red today recording the plunge of 13.03 points with closing level of 1442.12.

Altogether 645,501 unit shares of 135 companies were traded through 1,481 transactions worth Rs 186.89 million.
