NEPSE Index Witnessed a Moderate Loss of 20.48 Points; Intraday Turnover At 3.27 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a moderate loss, losing 20.48 points (0.79%) to close at 2,566.76. This follows a 11.90 -point gain in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,586.24 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,586.23 and a low of 2,558.35 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.27 Arba, with 9,003,388 shares traded across 359 companies through 44,777 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.15 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.96 Kharba.

Ghalemdi Hydro Limited (GHL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 22.86 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 275.00 .

10.30% Standard Chartered Bank Limited Debenture (SCBD) led the gainer's list with a 5.75% gain. The stock closed at Rs. 1,136.90.

Meanwhile, Trishuli Jal Vidhyut Company Limited (TVCL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 5.84%. The last traded price of the company was Rs. 274.00.

Among sectors, the Trading Index recorded the highest gain, gaining by 0.33%, while Investment Index recorded the highest loss, down 1.07%.
