NEPSE Index Surges By 27.85 Points With a Turnover of Rs. 5.98 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit loss today, declining by 27.85 points (1.00%) to settle at 2,786.35. This comes after a gain of 16.38 points in the previous trading session on 22nd May.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2752.95 and reached an intraday high of 2,790.34, while the day’s low stood at 2,752.46. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.98 Arba, with 14,540,022 shares traded across 342 companies through 75,856 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.52 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.87 Kharba.

 

Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 60.20 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 418.00.


Three Star Hydropower Limited (TSHL) Led the gainer's list with 9.01%. The Stock closed at Rs. 605.00.


Meanwhile,Bungal Hydro Limited (BUNGAL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 10.32%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 730.00.

 

Among sectors, the HydroPower Index registered the highest gain by 1.50%, while Mutual Fund recorded highest fall, falling by 0.20%.
