NEPSE Index Surges By 16.38 Points On the Last Trading Day of this Week

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit loss today, declining by 16.38 points (0.59%) to settle at 2,758.49. This comes after a gain of 12.36 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.

The benchmark index opened at 2742.46 and reached an intraday high of 2,758.49, while the day’s low stood at 2,736.15. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.49 Arba, with 10,888,739 shares traded across 336 companies through 54,497 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.04 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.72 Kharba.

Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 43.95 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 402.00.

Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited (CREST) Led the gainer's list with 14.81%. The Stock closed at Rs. 1,318.00.

Meanwhile, NIC Asia Balanced Fund (NICBF) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 2.59%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 9.40.

Among sectors, the HydroPower Index registered the highest gain by 1.29%, while Hotels And Trading Index recorded highest fall, falling by 0.42%.
