NEPSE Index Spikes By 30.08 Points After Weeks of Minor Gains and Losses

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit gain today, declining by 30.08 points (1.10%) to settle at 2,754.48. This comes after a loss of 6.51 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.

The benchmark index opened at 2721.73 and reached an intraday high of 2,756.11, while the day’s low stood at 2,720.75. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 3.82 Arba, with 10,661,476 shares traded across 346 companies through 52,336 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.97 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.69 Kharba.

Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 18.35 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,995.00.

Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) Led the gainer's list with 14.26%. The Stock closed at Rs. 2,300.00.

Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 13.26%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,995.00.

Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index and HydroPower Index registered the highest gain by 1.89%, while Non Life Insurance recorded highest fall, falling by 0.44%.
