NEPSE Index Sees 8.41 Point Plunge to Close At 2,611.85 Levels, Overall Volume Reached Rs. 7.08 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, falling by 8.41 points (0.32%) to settle at 2,611.85. This follows a 13.96 -point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,623.28, touching an intraday high at 2,628.67, while the lowest point was 2,605.89. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.08 Arba, with 17,423,943 shares traded across 320 companies through 78,493 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.44 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.52 Kharba.
Soaltee Hotel Limited (SHL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 46.19 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 573.
Om Megashree Pharmaceuticals Limited (OMPL) led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.
Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.65%.
Among sectors, the Hotels and Tourism Index posted the highest increase of 4.91%, whereas the Development Bank Index saw the highest loss of 2.12%.
