Nepse Index rises by 3.08 points to close at 1472.24 level; Turnover limited to Rs 35.08 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 3.08 points or 0.21% to close at 1,472.24 points today.
NEPSE Index opened at 1,469.15 points and the local bourse went up to 1481.26 points in the second trading hour of the day afterward seen fluctuating. The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 35.08 crore, where more than 8.42 lakh units shares were traded through 4,290 transactions.
Nagbeli Laghubitta Bikas Bank Promoter Share (NBBLPO) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 4.26 crore) while Janata Bank Nepal limited (JBNL) was traded the most (38,543 units) today.
The best performer for the day were Green Development Bank Limited (GRDBL) and Bishal Bazaar Compnay Limited (BBC) hitting almost 10% positive circuit break whereas Progressive Finance Limited (PROFL) was among the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.92 points and 0.37 respectively.
The sub indices of Development Bank, Finance, Manufacturing & Production and others landed in red whereas the sub indices of major sectors such as Banking, Trading, Hotels, Hydro power, Insurance and Microfinance ended in green. The trading sector increased the most i.e. 15.62 points followed by Insurance sector with 14.95 points.
