NEPSE Index Loses For Third Consecutive Day to Close at 2,804.17 Points; Only Five Sectors Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, declining by 2.95 points (0.10%) to settle at 2,804.17. This comes after a loss of 18.10 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.

The benchmark index opened at 2,810.06 and reached an intraday high of 2,818.20, while the day’s low stood at 2,762.37. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 7.81 Arba, with 17,588,854 shares traded across 342 companies through 121,433 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.82 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.91 Kharba.

National Hydro Power Company Limited (NHPC) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 41.34 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 310.00.

In today’s trading session, three companies hit the positive circuit limit of 15%, including SKHEL, PCIL and SIPD.

Meanwhile, Hotel Forest Inn Limited (HFIN) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 10.75%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,237.00

Among sectors, the Finance Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.58%, while Trading Index recorded highest fall, falling by 1.10%.
