NEPSE Index Loses For Second Consecutive Day; Intraday Turnover Hits Rs. 5.77 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit loss today, declining by 18.10 points (0.64%) to settle at 2,807.12. This comes after a loss of 13.17 points in the previous trading session on yesterday.

 

The benchmark index opened at 2,838.6 and reached an intraday high of 2,838.59, while the day’s low stood at 2,796.92. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.77 Arba, with 13,019,055 shares traded across 347 companies through 95,800 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.87 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.91 Kharba.


Solu Hydropower Limited (SOHL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 37.07 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 800.00.


In today’s trading session, three companies hit the positive circuit limit of 15%, including SKHEL, PCIL and SIPD.


Meanwhile, Dolti Power Company Limited (DOLTI) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 8.71%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 388.00


Among sectors, the Hotels And Tourism Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.16%, while Other Index  recorded highest fall, falling by 1.27%.
