NEPSE Index Gains 22.04 Points To Close at 2,705.90 Levels; Banking Sector Sees Highest Gain Among All Indices

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 22.04 points (0.82%) to settle at 2,705.90. This follows a 0.14-point loss in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,679.37, touching an intraday high of 2,707.91, while the lowest point was 2,679.16. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 7.45 Arba, with 15,822,970 shares traded across 316 companies through 62,884 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.08 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.30 Kharba.
Radhi Bidyut Company Ltd (RADHI) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 46.71 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 790.
Barun Hydropower Co. Ltd. (BARUN) led the gainers' list with a 6.21% gain each.
Meanwhile, Green Development Bank Ltd. (GRDBL)recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.41%.
Among sectors, the Banking Index sector registered the highest gain, gaining 1.68%, while the Finance Index saw the highest loss at 0.38%.
