NEPSE Index Falls by 27.90 Points to Close at 2822.46; SHIVM Tops the Turnover

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 27.90 points (0.97%) to settle at 2,822.46. This follows a 18.30 -point gain the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2852.72, touching an intraday high of 2,875.45, while the lowest point was 2,820.05. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 10.21 Arba, with 25,092,490 shares traded across 324 companies through 98,525 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.11 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.97 Kharba.

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.53.88 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 645.00

River Falls Power Limited (RFPL) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.

Meanwhile, Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.64%.

Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.31%, while the Microfinance Index saw the highest loss at 2.35%.
