NEPSE Index Falls by 11.52 Points, Led by Decline in HydroPower Sector; UNHPL Tops Turnover List

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 11.52 points (0.42%) to settle at 2,708.25. This follows a 6.55 -point loss the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,714.23 touching an intraday high of 2,727.47, while the lowest point was 2,705.77. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 4.4 Arba, with 11,124,845 shares traded across 334 companies through 58,087 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.27 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.34 Kharba.

 


Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.29.99 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 450.00

 


Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 9.97% gain each.

 

Meanwhile, Panchakanya Mai Hydropower Ltd (PMHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.62%.

 

Among sectors, the Mutual Fund registered the highest gain, gaining 0.43%, while the HydroPower Index saw the highest loss at 0.68%.
