NEPSE Index Edges Up by 9.16 Points to Close at 2,770.39 ; Overall Volume Stood at 6.17 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a gain today, gaining 9.16 points (0.33%) to settle at 2,770.39. This follows a 27.14 -point loss the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2760.67 touching an intraday high of 2,779.68, while the lowest point was 2,755.88. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 6.17 Arba, with 15,229,821 shares traded across 320 companies through 67,959 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.26 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.67 Kharba.
Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.21.75 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,560.30
Union Hydropower Limited (UNHPL) led the gainer's list with a 6.10% gain each.
Meanwhile, Sampada Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMPDA) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.81%.
Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.29%, while the Others Index saw the highest loss at 0.58%.
