NEPSE Index Edges Down By 2.35 Points to Close at 2,652 Level; Overall Volume Stood at 3.26 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 2.35 points (0.08%) to settle at 2,652.00. This follows a 27.89 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2653.84 touching an intraday high of 2,661.42, while the lowest point was 2,637.37. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 3.26 Arba, with 7,953,740 shares traded across 327 companies through 37,562 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.33 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.04 Kharba.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.30.9 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,462.00

Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with 10.00% each

Meanwhile, City Hotel Limited (CITY) recorded the steepest drop, falling 7.55%.

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest gain, gaining 1.36%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 1.49%.
