NEPSE Index Drops to Lowest Level in Eight Month; All Sectors Close at Red

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit fall today, falling by 30.60 points (1.17%) to settle at 2,570.18.This comes after a loss of 1.13 points in the previous trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2599.66 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,607.04 and a low of 2,566.27 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 7.46 Arba, with 41,725,323 shares traded across 368 companies through 51,295 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.16 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 14.91 Kharba.

NMB Debenture 8.50% - 2087/88 (NMBD87/88) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 48.46 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 1,135.00.

Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) Led the gainer's list with 5.37% each. The stock closed at Rs. 1,197.00.

Meanwhile, Upakar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ULBSL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 11.28%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 2,839.00.

Among sectors, Trading Index registered the highest loss by 2.30%, while Banking SubIndex recorded least loss, losing by 0.68%.
