NEPSE Index Drops to its Lowest Level in Nearly Months; Overall Turnover Stood at Rs. 4.36 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a double digit fall today, falling by 26.16 points (0.96%) to settle at 2,674.48. This comes after a small fall of 1.46 points in the yesterday trading session.

The benchmark index opened at 2696.76 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,700.01 and a low of 2,669.25 before settling at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 4.36 Arba, with 10,040,164 shares traded across 353 companies through 72,854 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.69 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.38 Kharba.

Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 34.16 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 368.50.

Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited (TPKHL) and Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YMHL) Led the gainer's list with 15.00% positive circuits. The both stock Closed at Rs. 396.70.

Meanwhile,Bungal Hydro Limited (BUNGAL) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 15.00%, the last traded price of the company was Rs.688.50.

Among sectors, Mutual Fund registered the highest gain by 0.45%, while Manufacturing And Processing recorded highest fall, falling by 1.92%.
