NEPSE Index Drops By 35.99 Points to Settle at 2,672.25 ; Intraday Turnover Stood at 5.23 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 35.99 points (0.42%) to settle at 2,672.25. This follows a 11.52 -point loss the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,707.03 touching an intraday high of 2,711.84, while the lowest point was 2,663.78. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.23 Arba, with 11,714,543 shares traded across 320 companies through 59,704 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.67 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.16 Kharba.

Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.30.68 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 1,634.90

Him Star Urja Company Limited (HIMSTAR) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.

Meanwhile, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited (BHPL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.28%.

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest loss , losing 3.31%, while the Mutual Fund saw the least loss at 0.54%.
