NEPSE index down by a meager 2.71 points to close at a level of 1166.69 points

The benchmark index of Nepal Stock Exchange Limited ( NEPSE) came down by 2.71 points or 0.23 percent to close at a level of 1166.69.
Opening at the 1169.34 level this afternoon, the local bourse came down to level 1152.61 on the first trading hour, whereas it rose to a level of 1176.08 at 1:30 PM and after that it was seen in a downward trend.
Sensitive index and the float index came down by 0.67 points and 0.23 points respectively.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 52.45 crore where more than 9 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,428 transactions.
Except development banks, Insurance and others, all other sectors landed in red. Insurance sector rose by double digits, whereas hotels and hydropower came down by double digits.
PRVU, NHPC, SIGS-1, SEOS, NIBPO, KBL,GBIME, NABILP,CZBIL were among the top traded shares.
NLBBL, EKBL, BLDBL, KADBL, RBCLPO, TRH, ADBL, RBCL, UFIL, SKBBLwere among the top gainers of the day.
APEX, TDBL, SHINE, UFL, MLBBL, YETI, SHL, RLFL, SHPC, PRVU were the top losers of the day.
