NEPSE Index Dips By Minimal 0.01% To Close at 2,600.20 Levels; Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 5.94 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by a minimal 0.33 points (0.01%) to settle at 2,600.20. This follows a 0.22-point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2,601.11, touching an intraday high at 2,607.71, while the lowest point was 2,594.34. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.94 Arba, with 13,759,604 shares traded across 311 companies through 61,824 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.32 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.62 Kharba.

Butwal Power Company Limited (BPCL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 53.94 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 842.

Modi Energy Limited (MEL) led the gainers' list with a 9.99% gain.

Meanwhile, Joshi Hydropower Development Company Ltd (JOSHI) recorded the steepest drop, falling 9.99%.



Among sectors, the Hotel and Tourism sector registered the highest gain, gaining 1.43%, while the Trading Index saw the highest loss at 1.07%.
