NEPSE Index Dips By 0.45% To Close at 2,646.95 Levels; Overall Volume Stood at Rs. 5.16 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing by 11.97 points (0.45%) to settle at 2,646.95. This follows a 35.73-point loss in the previous session. 

The benchmark index opened at 2,660.22, touching an intraday high at 2,664.59, while the lowest point was 2,641.07. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.16 Arba, with 13,782,468 shares traded across 313 companies through 59,130 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 44.08 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.84 Kharba.

Arun Kabeli Power Ltd. (AKPL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 36.25 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 274.50.

Two scrips led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit each.

Meanwhile, Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 5.81%.

Among sectors, the Trading Index registered the highest incline, gaining 0.49%, while the Finance Index saw the largest drop at 0.90%.
