NEPSE Index Couldn't Sustain Yestersay's Gain, Drops By Huge 47.93 Points ; Only Other Index Close at Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, gaining 47.93 points (1.59%) to settle at 2,954.14. This follows a 30.76-point gain in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 3008.33, touching an intraday high of 3,020.17, while the lowest point was 2,947.71. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 16.44 Arba, with 36,417,742 shares traded across 327 companies through 141,520 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 49.29 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 16.72 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 1.32 Arba. The stock closed at Rs. 1,083.10.

Sanvi Energy Limited (SANVI) led the gainer's list with a 10.00% gain each.

Meanwhile, Green Development Bank Ltd. (GRDBL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 8.04%.

Among sectors, the Others Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.85%, while the Microfinance Index saw the highest loss at 3.28%.
