NEPSE index closes at 1,102.56 losing 7.17 points in the entire trading day; Turnover stands at a meagre Rs 16.5 crore

After the slight rise of yesterday, the market today had opened at 1,109.99 points and experienced downward trend closing in red for the day.
The total turnover for today stood at Rs 16.57 crore, with a total of 6.5 lakh shares traded via 3,681 transactions.
Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower (UPPER) stood ahead in terms of total turnover with transactions worth Rs 75.9 lakh. Similarly, Janata Bank Nepal Promoter Share (JBNLPO) had the highest number of shares traded standing at a total of 55 thousand shares traded closing at Rs 101.
The top gainer for today is National Hydropower Company (NHPC), climbing by 3.33% and closing at Rs 62. The price of NHPC is still below par. Joshi hydropower Development Company (JOSHI) secured the position of top loser diving by 7.8% closing at Rs 176.
The sub-indices for today is all red today. However, Non-life insurance sector lost the most today diving by 45.02 points and the Finance sector lost the least declining by 2.65 points.
