NEPSE Increased By 6.68 Points on First Trading Day of the Week to Close at 1,977.30; Intraday Turnover Stood at Rs. 1.071 Arba

The NEPSE index closed at 1,977.30 today after gaining 6.68 points from last trading day. This is a gain of 0.34%. The index had lost 1.67 points last Friday.

The index opened at 1,971.86 and went intraday high at 1,988.38. Then the index made intraday high at 1,964.80 and ultimately closed at 1,977.30.

227 scrips traded hands via 25,037 transactions. Furthermore, a total of 2,876,288 shares exchanged hands amounting to Rs. 1.071 Arba in the turnover amount. This is a higher than last trading day's turnover of Rs. 69.88 Arba.

Ridi Power Company Limited (RIDI) had the highest turnover of Rs. 10.04 crores closing at a market price of Rs. 912 per share. The shares of Hydorelectricity Investment and Development Company Limited Promoter (HIDCLP) traded the most.

Ru Ru Jalbidhyut Pariyojana Limited (RURU) gained the highest 10% and hit positive circuit for the day.

On the other side of things, Support Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd. (SMB) lost the highest 2.86% today.

Nine sector indices closed green, "Non Life Insurance" gained the highest 1.85% while "Manu.& Pro." lost the highest 0.17%.
