NEPSE Inches Up 2.66 Point To Close at 2,780.25 Level; Overall Volume Stood at 5.73 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its upward trend on Wednesday, inclining by 2.66 points (0.09%) to settle at 2,780.25. This comes after a gain of 22.21 points in the previous trading session keeping the market in positive territory for a second straight day.

The benchmark index opened at 2,780.22 and fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,799.15 and a low of 2,768.82 before settling higher at the close. Total turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 5.73 Arba, with 13,521,619 shares traded across 347 companies through 62,148 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.43 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 15.88 Kharba.

Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) topped the turnover chart, recording transactions worth Rs. 44.23 crores. The company’s stock closed at Rs. 440.00.

Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) and Led the gainer's list with 14.99%.The stock Closed at Rs. 572.90.

Meanwhile, Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited (NRIC) recorded the Highest fall, falling by 5.18%, the last traded price of the company was Rs. 1,087.10.

Among sectors, the Non Life Insurance registered the highest gain by 3.37%, while Others Index recorded highest fall, falling by 2.36%.
