NEPSE gains 2 points to close at 1140.72 points; both newly listed companies hit the negative circuit for the third consecutive day

The market today stood to gain 0.18% or 2.07 points and closed at 1140.72 points. Today’s turnover was worth Rs.21.51 Crore which was achieved from trade of 882,885 units of shares traded through 4,613 transactions trading scrips of 171 listed companies in the process.

Nepal Bangladesh Bank Promoter Shares (NBBPO) posted a turnover of Rs.1.58 Crore which was achieved through trade of 131,929 units of shares topping both the lists. The LTP of the scrip stands at Rs.120 per share.

Nepal Seva Laghubitta (NSEWA) was today’s top gainer after it gained 5% or 25 points to close at Rs.525 per share. Universal Power Company (UPCL) lost 9.87% or 24 points and closed at Rs.219 per share while Shivam Cement Limited (SHIVM) lost 9.81% or 37 points and closed at Rs.340 per share. Both the companies hit the negative circuit for the third consecutive day.

Sensitive Index gained 0.42 points and closed at 242.67 points while Float Index gained 0.13 points and closed at 83.11 points.

Only Microfinance sector ended in the red zone today at it lost 0.37% or 5.12 points. Rest of the sub-indices gained points with Others gaining the most at 0.78%.
